1. Getting Started: The First Time Fragment

The game begins by clicking the Time Tap button to manually gather Raw Time. This is the most fundamental resource and the foundation for all progress. In the beginning, you will need to click diligently to build your initial capital.

2. Core Resources Explained

There are several types of resources in Factory Forge, each with a unique role.

• Raw Time: The most basic resource, generated by the Time Tap and Time Extractors.
• Chrono Energy: Created by converting Raw Time in a Chrono Furnace. Essential for advanced buildings and upgrades.
• Cogs: A key component in the Mechanical Era, produced by the Cogwheel Assembler.
• AI Cores: Advanced processors for the Synthetic Era.
• Relics: Rare items containing the power of the Ancient Era.
• Echoes: Faint whispers from collapsed timelines, used for late-game content.
• Chrono Dust: A permanent resource gained through prestige, providing powerful bonuses.

3. Key Buildings and Their Functions

To produce resources efficiently, you must construct and upgrade various buildings.

• Time Extractor: Automatically generates Raw Time, reducing the need for manual clicking.
• Chrono-Duplicator: A powerful efficiency booster that doubles the output of all Time Extractors.
• Chrono Furnace: A toggleable furnace that converts Raw Time into Chrono Energy.
• Time Loop Stabilizer: Provides a bonus to all Raw Time production.
• Paradox Engine: A powerful late-game building that permanently boosts all Raw Time production.

New buildings are unlocked as you advance through the eras (Mechanical, Synthetic, etc.).

4. Advancing Eras & Timeline Collapse (Prestige)

The core of the game is progressing through eras. By reaching certain resource goals, you can unlock the next era, which provides new buildings, upgrades, and resources, adding depth to the gameplay.

When you feel your progress slowing down, you can choose to perform a Timeline Collapse. This is the game's 'prestige' system.

• How it works: Most of your current progress (resources, buildings, etc.) is reset.
• Reward: You gain Chrono Dust proportional to your progress.
• Effect: Chrono Dust can be spent on permanent upgrades, making your next playthrough much faster and more powerful.

5. Automation and Endgame Content

In the later stages, you can automate various tasks, such as creating a purchase queue using Time Constructs. This allows you to focus on the bigger picture and optimization.

The ultimate goal is to unlock the Time Nexus, create alternate timelines, and traverse the multiverse.
